In this 3-hour course, you will learn who to deal with emergency situations: protect, alert and perform essential first aid actions. The French Federation of Cardiology estimates that each minute gained represents a 10% greater chance of survival.
The “First Aid – Life-Saving Actions” training is open to all categories of CERN personnel. Anyone working on the CERN site is encouraged to participate.
Thank you to the 121 people in the SY department who have already followed the training. You are strongly advised to follow the training every 2 to 3 years to refresh your knowledge.
Do not confuse the above training with the 2-day “First Aid – SST (Workplace First Aider) – Initial” training that is limited to members of personnel appointed by the Departments or Large Experiments, via the DSOs / LEXGLIMOSes taking account of their roles in matters of Safety at CERN. The validity period is 2 years.

Devenez acteur en cas d’urgence médicale ! Inscrivez-vous sur le Learning Hub du CERN à la formation “Secourisme – Gestes qui Sauvent (LSA)”.
Dans ce cours de 3 heures, vous apprendrez à faire face aux situations d’urgence : protéger, alerter et réaliser les gestes essentiels de premiers secours. La fédération française de cardiologie estime que chaque minute gagnée représente 10 % de chance de survie en plus.
La formation “Secourisme – Gestes qui Sauvent” est ouverte à toutes les catégories de personnel du CERN. Toute personne travaillant sur le site du CERN est encouragée à y participer.
Merci aux 121 personnes du département SY qui ont déjà suivi la formation. Il vous est fortement conseillé de suivre la formation tous les 2 à 3 ans afin de maintenir vos connaissances.
Ne pas confondre la formation ci-dessus avec la formation de 2 jours “Secourisme – SST – Initial (Sauveteur Secouriste du Travail)” qui est réservée aux membres du personnel désignés par les Départements ou les Grandes Expériences, via les DSOs / LEXGLIMOSes en tenant compte de leurs rôles en matière de Sécurité au CERN. La durée de validité est de 2 ans.
